The vast majority of contracts you will enter into will have an ADR (alternative dispute resolution) clause written into the contract. What this means for you, as a consumer, or for your business, is that if you have a contract dispute, you are legally required to enter into arbitration instead of taking your case to court.

Some of the more common types of contracts that include arbitration clauses:

• Purchase of a car
• Buying a home from a builder
• A commercial lease agreement
• Certain types of banking transactions (every banking agreements has an ADR provision in it)

We have handled private arbitration and mediation, court-ordered arbitration and court-ordered mediation. We are comfortable with all relevant statutes and arbitration procedures.

In addition to the selection of an arbitrator and the selection of rules, we can assist with the enforcement of an arbitration award. If your arbitration award is not satisfied within 30 days, we will petition the court on your behalf to secure a judgment that can then be collected.
